Roulette is a game of pure chance and each single spin is unrelated to any previous spins. It is played in virtually every gambling house in North and South America and in Europe, where it is even more popular. The outcome of a game of Roulette is determined by where the ball stops on the Roulette wheel. Roulette players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even. In Roulette the bets are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes containing individual numbers. The marked area of roulette is called the game layout, and you may place bets on any particular number, any 4 adjacent numbers, a column or a dozen bet. When all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and a ball bounces from slot to slot until finally coming to rest in one of them. After all bets are placed, the roulette Dealer spins the wheel in one direction and the ball in the opposite direction. The ball slows and eventually stops in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette wheel. Roulette does not move at a quick pace, it is for a more relaxed crowd than you are likely to find at the craps table. After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets. " You may place roulette bets on the spin until the Dealer announces "No more bets". You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table. When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
