There are 2 types of roulette, American and French (aka European roulette) After all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel in one direction and tosses the small ball in the opposite direction. If you are playing at a roulette table with a 5 dollar minimum, you are required to place 5 dollars on each of your outside bets, and-or a total of at least 5 dollars on your inside bets. Each roulette player is assigned different color of chip, allowing the dealer differentiate bets and match them to the right players. American wheels have two green sections marked 00. After all bets are placed, the roulette Dealer spins the wheel in one direction and the ball in the opposite direction. When the roulette ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer will call out the winning number and settle all bets. After the roulette wheel stops the dealer will then mark the winning number on the betting area and the bets are paid accordingly.
