Roulette translated literally means "small wheel" and is one of the oldest casino games played today. Roulette is played on a table featuring a betting area and the roulette wheel. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots, numbered 1 through 36, plus 0 and 00. Roulette players often choose the bets they like to make and stick with them for a series of spins. When you get your roulette chips they will not be marked with a denomination, you choose it, and all of the chips will reflect that worth - the dealer keeps track of that by associating the amount and color with a 'lammer'.
