Roulette is a game of pure chance and each single spin is unrelated to any previous spins. Roulette uses a special wheel, a betting layout, and chips. A European roulette wheel has the numbers 1-36, plus a slot for zero. If you play black-red, odd/even or high-low, you must place the roulette table minimum for each and every bet. The zero and double zero numbers are in green and on opposite sides of the wheel, the colors and odd/even numbers alternate, and the numbers themselves are randomly distributed. When all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and a ball bounces from slot to slot until finally coming to rest in one of them. The roulette dealer will exchange your chips for regular chips when you are done playing. When the roulette ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer will call out the winning number and settle all bets. When you get your roulette chips they will not be marked with a denomination, you choose it, and all of the chips will reflect that worth - the dealer keeps track of that by associating the amount and color with a 'lammer'. Unlike other casino games, roulette rounds go by quickly - just a spin of the wheel and the game is over. Once the roulette ball has found its slot, the dealer will call out the winning number and place a marker on that number's spot on the layout. When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
